Photography Travel Series


Connect with local photographers as they share their world travel experiences. These events are free and open to the public and are held Friday evenings in March and April at Sharon Woods.

Fri 3/10, 7:30 p.m.

Join Cliff Goosmann on a photographic tour of Cuba. We’ll visit Havana and nearby areas to see what has changed in the past few years. Then off to Viñales to see a slower lifestyle of the Cuban countryside, agricultural centers, the stunning tobacco-growing region and ocean-side communities.​

Join Ed Soldo on a photographic road trip through Iceland. He will highlight the North Atlantic’s mystical isle of fire and ice along with a dramatic volcanic landscape discovered by Vikings and worked by the early Norse settlers.​
Fri 3/24, 7:30 p.m.

Board the ship with Alan Lloyd in Budapest and cruise up the ‘Blue’ Danube to Austria and Germany. After visiting some unique Bavarian towns, we’ll join the Rhine River where medieval castles guard the shores. We’ll explore Europe’s largest Gothic cathedral and end our cruise at the windmills of Holland.

Join Cliff Turrell to enjoy the natural beauty and ancient culture of Ireland. You will see the spectacular coastlines and Giant’s Causeway, Donegal’s highest cliffs and Neolithic graves that pre-date the pyramids! We’ll also visit the Cliffs of Moher, Dingle Peninsula and the Rock of Cashel (Monastery).​
Fri 4/7, 7:30 p.m.

Join Cliff Goosmann as he demonstrates how eastern Cuba is a very different world from western Cuba and metropolitan Havana. We’ll see Santiago, Guantanamo Bay and Baracoa, where Columbus first landed and the Cuban revolution began. We’ll also visit homes along the bay and take a walk in a river.​
Fri 4/21, 7:30 p.m.

Neville Duffield presents Ethiopia in pictures. We’ll journey from Taxim in the North, to the Omo River in the South, seeing churches, villages and people, relishing the scents and smells of this ancient land. We’ll also see the country of Sheba, fabled home of the Arc of the Covenant.​
Fri 4/28, 7:30 p.m.

Join Mike Rank on a Mediterranean cruise. After two nights in Venice, it’s off to the first port of call in Croatia. From there it’s on to Kotor, Montenegro and Palermo, Sicily. Then we head along the Italian coast, take several stops in France and spend the last two nights in Barcelona.​
