Assistant Snack Bar Manager
Hamilton County Park District is accepting applications for an Assistant Snack Bar Manager at Winton Woods Harbor Snack Bar. Position works a varied schedule including nights and weekends. This seasonal position is responsible for assisting the Manager in training and scheduling; conducting cash control procedures; ensuring cleanliness and sanitary conditions of food service facility and other work areas; providing prompt and courteous service to customers; filling orders of food and beverages and performing other food service responsibilities. Qualified applicants must be at least 21 years of age with a high school education; prior work experience in a food service facility; willingness to dress according to uniform policy requirements; knowledge of food service operations, basic math skills; basic management principles; ability to perform manual labor and work well with others. Starting pay rate is between $8.77 - $11.56 per hour. EOE

Food Service Attendant II
Hamilton County Park District is accepting applications for Food Service Attendant II at Little Miami Golf Center Snack Bar and Stonewood Banquet Center in Sharon Woods. This is a seasonal position. Applicants must be available weekends. The Food Service Attendant II provides prompt and courteous service to customers of food service facility; fills orders of food and beverages; rings sales on cash register; handles money; maintains clean and sanitary work area; performs janitorial duties; represents the Park District in a positive and professional manner; consistently applies food service conduct policy; sells alcohol. Qualified applicants must be at least 19 years of age and have a high school education. Must dress according to policy guidelines, be able to stand for extended periods of time and work well with others. Starting pay rate is between $7.22 - $9.02 per hour. EOE

Maintenance Technician I
Hamilton County Park District is accepting applications for a Maintenance Technician at Embshoff Woods, Sharon Woods, Winton Woods and Woodland Mound. Position is seasonal, working 20-40 hours per week from March through October. Applicant needs to be available weekends and some weekdays, beginning at 6:00 am. Performs various grounds maintenance tasks to park areas and golf courses; performs gardening and landscaping tasks; operates a variety of parks and golf course equipment such as dump truck, lawn mower, weed whacker, chain saw, shovels, and other gardening tools to perform maintenance tasks; performs minor mechanical repairs and performs routine preventive maintenance to small gasoline engines; repairs water and sewer lines, and performs minor plumbing and electrical maintenance; makes minor repairs to buildings and facilities; repairs roadways and trails by patching pot holes, etc.; picks up litter in golf courses and parks, and performs routine janitorial duties; cleans restrooms. Qualified applicants must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license and high school education or equivalent; knowledge of entry level building, facility, equipment, and grounds maintenance methods and equipment; ability to perform manual work for extended periods of time; develop and maintain effective working relationships; follow oral and written instructions; cooperate with co-workers on group projects; skill in operation of job-related equipment. Pay range $7.59 - $9.02 per hour. EOE

Naturalist
Hamilton County Park District is accepting applications for a Seasonal Naturalist at Sharon Centre in Sharon Woods. This position works part-time hours; schedule may include evenings, weekends and holidays. Responsibilities include presenting programs on horticulture & natural/cultural history; conducting research; working with live animals; giving demonstrations; developing and maintaining exhibits, displays and bulletin boards; leading nature hikes & providing information to the public. Qualifications: Prefer an Associates Degree in Natural History or related field, with 1-3 years experience in natural history interpretation; possess a valid driver’s license; knowledge of Natural and Cultural History; Research methods; public relations; ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form; demonstrate leadership qualities; develop and maintain an effective working relationship; speak effectively before groups; relate with both children and adults; present a pleasant public image; initiative to seek out and implement new programs; write and/or edit articles for publication; define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Pay range is $9.64 - $12.71 per hour.  EOE
