Great Parks offers a wide variety of programs and events that spark curiosity and enable a child to discover the world around them.
A child’s ability to explore the natural world around them is as important to their development as breathing clean air, eating fruits and vegetables and reading. Programs are offered year-round at most Great Parks throughout the county. Some are available for all ages and while others are designed for a particular age range or families to enjoy. Whatever your age and whatever your interests, an adventure awaits you at a Great Park!

Highfield Discovery GardenLearn More >
Discover a world complete with fairies, dragons, trains and more in a 12-acre children’s garden. There are themed programs offered throughout the year and private programs are also available for groups and classes designed to get kids outside and excited about plants and the animals that need them.
Parky’s FarmLearn More >
A child can make the connection between farms and themselves when they visit Parky’s Farm in Winton Woods. Hands-on programs give them a chance to explore both the plants and animals of farm life. Where else can you possibly milk a goat, help plant potatoes and watch bees going in and out of a hive on their way to collect nectar to make honey?
Great Parks of Hamilton County believes that all members of our community should have access to all that the great outdoors has to offer. Great Parks of Hamilton County Scholarship Fund is a way in which families and organizations can connect a child with nature through financial assistance.
Previous grants have been awarded to elementary schools, which allowed parents, teachers and students to attend various nature programs. Other grants enabled children to attend summer camp. Participants in day camps have remarked that it was the best camp ever and that they enjoyed everything from canoeing, kayaking and exploring the wetlands to catching the biggest catfish.
Applications are available for individuals and groups who may be eligible. Partial scholarships are available to individuals (both adult and children) who would like to participate in an educational program that costs a minimum of $30 to participate as well as to teachers/group leaders to help offset the cost of a school/group program. All applicants will be considered for a scholarship, but priority will be given to residents or groups who are located in Hamilton County. The award can be up to 75% of the cost of the program with a maximum of $300.
Applications must be mailed in or dropped off at Great Parks, 10245 Winton Rd., Cincinnati, Ohio 45231.
