Jobs
Full-time, part-time and seasonal positions are available to those ages 16 and up at Great Parks’ 21 parks and preserves. Positions vary throughout the park district, and may include administrative offices, park grounds, golf courses/clubhouses, harbors/boathouses, athletic fields, horseback riding center, farm, playgrounds, entrance safety tech booths and more.

Internships
The Great Parks internship program offers high school, undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to gain practical experience in Great Parks’ many parks, nature centers, offices and facilities.

Most internships last four to six weeks. Hours are flexible and generally require 10–40 hours each week. To apply, complete the Volunteer Application and send it along with your resume and cover letter to the person listed in the description.

Great Parks Rangers
Great Parks of Hamilton County Rangers are state certified peace officers, trained for emergency response, investigation and reporting. They enforce federal and state laws as well as Great Parks’ bylaws and regulations. The Rangers patrol by cruiser, foot, all-terrain vehicle and bike, making them available to visitors in all areas of the parks. Interested applicants for both part-time and full-time positions must possess an appropriate combination of education, training, course work and experience.

Qualifications include:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Minimum of 21 years of age
  • Basic Peace Officer Certification from Ohio or currently enrolled in an Ohio Basic Peace Officer Training Academy
  • State Motor Vehicle Operator's License that meets Great Parks current carrier guidelines
  • No felony or domestic violence convictions
  • Preferred qualifications include any formal or informal education or experience in Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation or related field.
  • Ability to successfully complete the following if accepted for consideration: oral interview, medical examination (at applicant’s expense) and voice stress analysis.
