Sam Arnold Sam has been working at The Vineyard golf
course since 1998. After working nine years as the first assistant, he
was promoted to Head Golf Professional in 2007. Sam is a graduate of
Milford High School, where he was Captain of the Division I State Golf
Championship team in 1989. He attended Wright State University in
Dayton, Ohio, where he was a member of the golf team and received his
degree in Psychology. Sam has qualified for and played in three PGA
Championship tournaments (2006, 2008 and 2009.)
Sam’s love of the
game is reflected not only in his dedication to personal improvement,
but also in his desire to help others succeed. He is an accomplished
teacher who enjoys seeing the progress that students of all skill levels

Mike Thomas Mike was
elected to PGA membership in August 2008. From 1999 until 2002 he was on
the maintenance crew at The Vineyard, learning much of the strategies
involved in maintaining great playing conditions throughout the year. In
the spring of 2003, he turned professional and has worked as an
Assistant Golf Professional ever since. Playing is a passion for Mike,
and he participates in over 25 tournaments per year.
instructor, Mike carries a philosophy and approach to teaching that
makes students feel comfortable and at ease throughout the process. He
works in concert with the other professionals at The Vineyard to ensure
that students of all playing levels have many options for scheduling
lesson times and developing a lesson plan that is tailored specifically
to their game.
Chris Matteini Chris joined The Vineyard's professional staff in 2014 as an assistant professional. His childhood passion for the game became a second profession for him (his first is a career in pharmacy.) Chris enjoys both the competitive and teaching aspects of golf; he enjoys challenging himself in tournaments and is always working to further his understanding of the game.
Chris enjoys teaching students of all abilities, ranging from the true beginner seeking the fundamentals to the more advanced golfer striving to fine tune the minute details. His main goal is to give students the tools necessary to unlock their full potential so they can enjoy the game for years to come.
