New for 2008! Spring Break Horse Camp
What is it?
This camp includes three fun-filled days, March 25-27 (9am - 4pm). Ten regular campers and ten jump campers will enjoy a variety of equine activities. Groups are divided by ability, through no experience is required. Topics we will cover during camp include aspects of horse safety, breeds, colors and markings of horses, anatomy of the horse, grooming, tacking and riding. Campers must provide their own bagged lunch each day.
How to Register?
Unfortunately, all of our spots are currently filled for 2008. We will be offering more options next year. Please email your information and suggestions to wwrc@greatparks.org to be added to our 2009 Contact List. Look for 2009 registration to open around January 5.
What to Wear?
Required camp attire is long pants and hard-soled boots with a short (1/2 in to 1 inch) well defined heel. Tread should be kept minimal and soles should not be very thick. ASTM/SEI certified riding helmets are required. The WWRC can provide helmets for all campers, if you do not wish to purchase your own. Make sure your camper is dressed for the weather. Camp will go on - rain or shine! Remember, when choosing clothes that you will get dirty.
