Great Parks of Hamilton County is a great place for the whole family. We offer several different types of playgrounds including wet playgrounds, and indoor playgrounds in addition to traditional playgrounds.
Traditional Playgrounds

Universally Accessible Playgrounds
  • Harper Meadows in Winton Wood
  • Francis RecreAcres​

The play areas located at these parks are the most universally accessible playgrounds throughout Great Parks. The play structures features a variety of elements for all abilties, including:
  • A rubber safety surface that allows access to all areas of the playground for users of all abilities
  • Multiple wide ramps for access with mobility devices
  • A “Power Scape” area of play that encourages physical fitness and coordination
  • An array of bright colors to increase visual stimulation and playable musical instruments to increase auditory function
  • Shade structures for a more enjoyable play experience
  • An increase in accessible play area and play features
Wet Playgrounds
Children who are supervised by a parent or guardian and wearing bathing suits may play in the wet playgrounds. All diaper-wearing toddlers must wear swim diapers under a bathing suit. Groups are required to have an adult supervisor for every six children.

Parky's Ark in Winton Woods
Located at the Winton Woods Harbor, this wet play area includes 18 animal figures that squirt and spray water onto the play surface area.

Parky's Pirate Cove in Miami Whitewater Forest
Located at Miami Whitewater Forest Harbor, this elaborate wet playground has alligators, a giant octopus and tipping coconuts filled with water.

Parky's Wetland Adventure in Woodland Mound
Located at Woodland Mound, this playground features a 16-foot tree with two slides, a whimsical great blue heron, frogs, turtles and flowers which spray water.
Indoor Playgrounds

Adventure Station

Children ages 2-12 can explore nature while playing in this two-story, accessible indoor play facility at the Sharon Centre in Sharon Woods. The kids will enjoy climbing up ladders, crawling through tunnels, playing with interactive features and bouncing around in the ball pit. The play area features safety play surfaces.

Parky's Playbarn

Parky's Playbarn, located at Parky's Farm in Winton Woods, is a former dairy barn has been converted into an indoor, farm-themed, accessible playground for children ages 2-12.


$2.50/child, age 2-12


Parky's Playbarn is now closed for the season, except during Great Outdoor Weekend (September 26, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.) and during select programs.​
