Upcoming Events

  • Trail Hours & Closures

    • The trail is open daily from dawn until dusk, weather dependent.
Trail openings and closures are weather dependent. Riding or hiking the trail in wet, muddy conditions damages the trails for all users and has a negative impact on the surrounding vegetation and wildlife.
    • The trail is generally open April through December. It is closed during winter months, because the trail is most vulnerable to damage during this time due to the freeze/thaw cycle. If conditions indicate a deep freeze that is sustained throughout the day, the trail may be opened during that time. However, during normal winter conditions, increased temperatures or sunlight may cause the trail may thaw in the afternoon, creating poor trail conditions. In this situation, the trail will remain closed.
    • The trail is closed during all heavy rainfall events regardless of the time of year. Closure is dependent upon the amount and duration of rainfall as well as trail conditions.
    • When the trail is closed, it is closed to all users including mountain bikers, hikers and runners.
  • Volunteer Opportunities

The Cincinnati Off Road Alliance (CORA) is responsible for maintenance of the mountain bike trail. Volunteer trail days are typically scheduled on Saturdays November through May, starting in the morning and meeting at the trailhead kiosk. They are occasionally scheduled during week days in the evening May through July. All volunteer trail days are weather dependent and everyone is welcome to help. Volunteers should wear old clothes, sturdy shoes and bring work gloves and may bring the following hand tools: rake, lopper, mattock or hand saw.

Please check back for scheduled opportunities or visit the Facebook page for more information.
