All About Animals
Ages: 4-5
Cost: $60
Location: Sharon Woods
Dates & Times: June 22-25, 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

Using our five senses, we’ll explore and discover our native wildlife. Bugs, birds, snakes and frogs are only a few of the animals your child will get to see. We’ll listen to bird calls, feel the difference between a snake and deer skin and smell the odors of fox or an owl. We’ll even taste a few animal creations during snack time. Parents may drop their child off or stay if they’d like. Notify the Naturalists of any food allergies prior to camp by calling (513) 521-7275. Register online.

Farm Explorers
Ages: 4-5
Cost: $60
Location: Parky’s Farm/Winton Woods
Dates & Times: June 28-July 1, July 26-29; 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. or 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

If your preschooler loves animals and being outdoors this is the camp for them. We will spend four days exploring Parky’s Farm and learning about animals. Campers will have hands on opportunities to discover and investigate in a safe, friendly and fun environment. Camp activities will include brushing the goats, collecting eggs, taking a wagon ride in the woods, making crafts, playing games and reading stories. Register online.

Barnyard Friends
Age: 6-7
Cost: $75
Location: Parky’s Farm/Winton Woods
Dates & Times: June 14-18, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Nothing makes it summer like days on the farm! This camp offers five days of fun filled farm activities. Campers will meet new farm friends; make tasty farm creations; dig in the dirt (maybe even find worms!) and cool off with a hike in the shady woods. Every farm has chores to do so be ready to help out with feeding chickens, collecting eggs and washing the ponies. The animals will be glad for your assistance especially this year’s farm babies. Water World
Ages: 6-9

Location: Sharon Woods
Dates & Times: June 15-18, 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

Explore all the wonders in and around ponds and creeks with this exciting day camp that is all about water! Get splashed during water games and compete in water Olympics! See creatures with their own scuba gear, goggles, flippers and wet suits. Discover insects that can walk on water or hover in the air like a helicopter! We will wade through creeks, play games, make crafts and meet animals up close and personal! Register online.

Animal Explorer Camp
Ages: 6-9

Location: Farbach-Werner Nature Preserve
Dates & Times: July 20-22, 9:30 am-2:30 pm

This camp is for kids who love wild animals and their wild habitats. Join us to have fun learning the secrets of nature! We will be hiking through the preserve and playing nature games every day, as well as creating imaginative projects to take home. One day will be spent learning about wetlands and the animals that you will find living there including frogs, turtles, and more. One day we will focus on the creepy crawly invertebrate animals among us and on one day we will learn all about birds and how they live. Live animals will be part of this summer nature experience. Habitat Explorer
Ages: 6-9

Get ready to go exploring! Whether we are winding through forests or splashing through creeks, this camp will be full of adventure! With magnifying glasses, bug boxes, and nets in tow, we will discover the creatures that call Sharon Woods home. When we aren’t out on the trail, we will make crafts, play games and meet a few live animals. Register online.

You’re All Wet
Ages: 7-14

Location: Winton Woods
Dates & Times: August 9-12 , 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Cool off this summer at a camp that is guaranteed to get you wet! Challenge yourself to all sorts of water activities including canoeing, kayaking, fishing, creeking and other water related activities. We’ll visit wetlands, catch aquatic critters and explore many water habitats throughout the Hamilton County Park District. Register online.

Miami Whitewater Forest Explorers
Ages: 7-14

Location: Miami Whitewater Forest
Dates & Times: July 6-10, 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

Nature’s Oddballs
Ages: 7-14
Cost: $120.00
Location: Miami Whitewater Forest
Dates and Times: July 26-29, 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

Immerse yourself in nature during this active camp. Experience zoology, botany, geology and more first hand as we hike, explore
and conduct fun experiments out in the field. Be ready to be surprised and amazed by odd nature discoveries. Register online.

Equestrian Camps
Ages: 7-17
Cost: Spring: $168; Summer: $280
Location: Winton Woods Riding Center
Dates & Times: Spring: March 23-25 or April 6-8, 9 am - 4 pm
Summer: One-week camps, 9 am-4 pm: June 7-11; June 28-July 2; July 5-9; August 2-6; July 26-30; August 9-13: Novice & Above Camp (three time campers or Novice students of the Winton Woods Riding Center lesson program qualify for Novice and Above). August 16-20: Barrel Racing Camp
Two-week camps: choose 9 am-12 pm or 1 pm-4 pm: June 14-25; July 12-23.

Whether your child has never been close to a horse before or has been riding for several years, our equestrian camps have something for everyone. In addition to many fun activities, riding lessons will take place every day and campers will ride in groups appropriate for their skill level. Register online. Great Outdoors
Ages: 7-17

Enjoy the different outdoor experiences of Winton Woods. Fishing, boating, golfing, hiking canoeing, horseback riding, rock-wall

Farm Adventures
Age: 8-10
Cost: $100
Location: Parky’s Farm/Winton Woods
Dates & Times: July 12-16, 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Get ready for a real farm adventure. Campers will have hands on experiences learning about how we care for our farm animals.
There will be stream exploration and fishing from the pond. Planting, harvesting and tasting are featured activities in the garden. The woods will offer opportunities for hiking, exploring and mudding. Register online.

TV Adventure Hits the Trail
Ages: 8-12
Cost: $90
Location: Farbach-Werner Nature Preserve
Dates & Times: June 15-17, 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

This three day camp is overflowing with nature adventures. We’ll spend the first day testing our survival skills as we take on the wild areas of the nature preserve. On day two we will participate in an amazing journey as we race around the nature preserve to find clues and on day three we will dive into the grossology factor of nature. Creekin’ and Muddin’
Ages: 10-13

Dates & Times: August 3-6, 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

Get hands-on with some of the animals found in the Hamilton County Park District. Catch crayfish at the creek. Find frogs in the
mud. Investigate insects under the rocks. Learn what the bizarre array of animals tells us about the health of our streams at Sharon Woods. Challenge yourself as we travel to Winton Woods for canoe instruction. We will get an up close and personal look at our waterways by taking a canoe trip on the Little Miami River. Register online.

Ultimate Challenge
Ages: 10-14
Cost: $100
Location: Winton Woods
Dates & Times: Session 1: July 6-8, 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m.; Session 2: August 4-6, 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

It’s a fast paced three-day adventure in Winton Woods! Campers will be challenged with individual sports such as archery, golfing, rock wall climbing and kayaking. You will also be challenged with team-building and partnered activities such as a low ropes course and canoeing. You may even have time for creeking, exploring the woods and playing challenging games and recreational activities! Register online.

 
Hooked on Fishing
Ages: 9-16
Cost: $150
Location: Lake Isabella
Dates & Times: July 12-16, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

This camp covers topics for the beginning angler including fishing skills, fish biology, life skills, conservation and ethics. Cost includes lunch, bait, and boat rental. All campers will receive a rod and reel and tackle box compliments of Bass Pro Shops.

Canoe and Kayak Camp
Ages: 11-15
Cost: $100
Location: Winton Woods
Dates & Times: July 19-22, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

This camp is all about paddling! Join our certified ACA instructor and staff on a three-day exploration into the world of these water sports! The first two days will be spent learning and practicing our skills on Winton Lake. On the third day of camp, we will take a river trip to the Little Miami River. Register online.

Archery Camp
Ages: 12-17
Cost: $75
Location: Winton Woods
Dates & Times: July 12-13, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Certified archery instructors will cover archery basics using a compound bow during this two day camp. This program will cover
basic instruction, with tournament style shooting and many fun archery games. Register online.
