Farbach-Werner Nature Preserve: top ^

Wild Animals
Ages: 6-9 Cost: $75
Location: Farbach-Werner Nature Preserve
Dates & Times: June 17-19, 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
This camp is for kids who love wild animals. Join us to have fun exposing the secrets of wildlife! We will be hiking through the preserve and playing nature games every day, as well as creating imaginative animal art projects to take home. One day will be spent learning about frogs, turtles, and snakes, one day about insects, spiders, and other creepy crawlies, and one day we will learn about animals with feathers or fur.

TV Adventure Hits the Trails
Ages: 8-12 Cost: $100
Location: Farbach-Werner Nature Preserve
Dates & Times: July 22-25, 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Extended drop off and pick up times will be offered at this camp only. Drop-off between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., pick-up between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Overflowing with real science and nature adventures, this camp may be just for you. We will spend one day busting nature myths, one day testing our survival skills in the preserve, one day doing wacky and weird science guy hands on experiment stuff, and one day exploring the science and nature of the most famous wizard ever to go to wizarding school.

 

Lake Isabella: top ^

Hooked on Fishing
Ages: 10-16 Cost: $150
Location: Lake Isabella
Dates & Times: July 7-11, 9 :00 a.m.-3 :00 p.m.
This camp covers topics for the beginning angler including fishing skills, fish biology, life skills, conservation and ethics. Cost includes lunch, bait, and boat rental. All campers will receive a rod and reel and tackle box compliments of Bass Pro Shops.

Miami Whitewater Forest: top ^

Habitat Explorers
Ages: 7-14 Cost: $100
Location: Miami Whitewater Forest
Dates and Times: July 7-11, 9:30 am-2:30 pm
Grab your gear, because we’re going exploring! We will investigate wetlands, woods, fields, and prairies during this fun camp. Are you ready to play games, ride bikes, hike, discover animals, follow your curiosity, and make new friends?  Bring a self-contained lunch and a drink each day. Refrigeration is not available.

 

Sharon Woods: top ^

Pond Life
Ages: 6-9 Cost: $100
Location: Sharon Woods
Dates & Times: June 17-20, 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Swim, dip, dive, woosh! Flit, fly, jump, splish and splash! Explore all the wonders in and around a pond with this exciting day camp. See creatures with their own scuba gear, goggles, flippers and wet suits. Discover insects that can walk on water or hover in the air like a helicopter! We will dip in ponds, wade through creeks, play games, make crafts and meet animals up close and personal! Remember, you will get wet and muddy!

Habitat Explorers
Ages: 6-9 Cost: $100
Location: Sharon Woods
Dates & Times: August 5-8, 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Look up, look down, look all around! Up hills, down hills, in fields and in a pond! Frogs, toads, birds and bees! How many different creatures can you see? Join us for this four-day camp full of fun and discovery! See what it takes to become an explorer and earn your explorer badge! Wade through creeks and dip in ponds. Creep through fields and wind through forests. See all there is to see in different habitats! Besides exploring, we will play games, make crafts and meet animals up close and personal.

Creekin’ and Muddin’
Ages: 10-13 Cost: $100
Location: Sharon Woods
Dates & Times: July 29-August 1, 9:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
This camp is for those who love to get wet and muddy! Join us as we tromp through the mud and muck in search of the elusive aquatic invertebrates of the Hamilton County Park District. Get up close and personal with the cute, the ugly and the downright bizarre array of animals in our waterways and learn what they tell us about the health of our streams.

Get Your Feet Wet!
Ages: 13-17 Cost: $100
Location: Sharon Woods
Dates & Times: July 9-11, 9:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
So you’re thinking of a career in the sciences, but you’re not sure how fun it is? Join in the excitement of nature and animals! We will go behind the scenes at the zoo, learn about water sampling, and yes--get our feet wet tromping through the creeks of the Hamilton County Park District. Believe it or not, but you can chose a career where you get paid to go creeking--come see the proof!

 

Winton Woods: top ^

Barnyard Friends
Ages: 5-7 Cost: $75
Location: Parky’s Farm in Winton Woods
Dates & Times: June 23-27 or July 14-18; 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Nothing makes it summer like days on the farm! This camp offers five days of fun filled farm activities. Campers will meet their new farm friends; make tasty farm creations; dig in the dirt (maybe even find worms!) and cool off with a hike in the shady woods. Every farm has chores to do so be ready to help out and learn how to care for our newly made farm friends.

Equestrian Camps
Ages: 7-17 Cost : $270
Location: Winton Woods Riding Center
Dates & Times:
One-week camps: June 2-6; June 23-27; June 30-July 3 (no camp on July 4 so this camp is just $216.00 for the four days); July 21-25 August 11-15; 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Two-week camps
: June 9-20; July 7-18 or July 28-August 8; 9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.-4 :00 p.m.

Whether your child has never been close to a horse before or has been riding for several years, our summer equestrian camps have something for everyone. In addition to many fun activities, riding lessons will take place every day and campers will ride in groups appropriate for their skill level. Great Outdoors
Ages: 7-17 Cost: $260
Location: Winton Woods
Dates & Times: June 16-20, July 14-18 or July 28-August 1, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
We have five fabulous days for your children to enjoy some of the different outdoor experiences found in our parks. Fishing, boating, golfing, hiking, canoeing, horseback riding and obstacle courses, rope and wall climbing, the adventures are endless with the Park District! Different experiences all day, every day. July 14-18 session is full, please call (513) 521-7275 extension 240 to be put on a waiting list.

Farm Adventures
Location: Parky’s Farm – Winton Woods
Dates & Times: June 16-20, 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Ages: 8-10 Cost: $100
Get ready for a real farm adventure. This camp offers older children a chance to explore Parky’s Farm. Campers will have hands on experiences learning about how we care for our farm animals. There will be stream exploration and fishing from the pond. Planting, harvesting and tasting are featured activities in the garden. The woods will offer opportunities for hiking, exploring and mudding.

Ultimate Challenge
Ages: 10-14 Cost: $100
Location: Winton Woods
Dates & Times: July 7-9 or August 6-8; 9:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Ultimate Challenge Camp will be a fast paced three-day adventure in Winton Woods. Campers will go through a low ropes course, climb a climbing wall, go canoeing, learn and practice archery, drive golf balls at a driving range, go creeking, explore the woods, plus do other challenging games and recreational activities! Cost includes a T-shirt, a Hamilton County Park District Frisbee, a bandana and a coupon from the Golf Department for a free bucket of balls.

Canoe and Kayak Camp
Ages: 11-15 Cost: $75
Location: Winton Woods
Dates & Times: July 21-23, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
This camp is all about paddling! Join our certified ACA instructor and staff on a three-day exploration into the world of these water sports! The first two days will be spent learning and practicing our skills on Winton Lake. On the third day of camp, we will take a river trip to the Little Miami River.
