2008 Fishing Tournaments

General Information
The top three teams in each tournament with the exception of the Holiday Kid's Tournament, Bass League and Kid's Fishing Derby, will receive awards courtesy Bass Pro Shops and boathouse gift certificates based on a percentage of the entry fees. Registration for all tournaments, except for the Bass League, begins one hour prior to the start of the tournament.

Bass Series
Our most popular tournament series returns for another great season! Anglers earn points based on their place of finish through the six qualifying tournaments for a chance to compete in the championship and win a $1,000 Bass Pro Shops shopping spree! Entry fees are $40.00 per team and includes boat rental. Only the top 20 anglers will be eligible to fish the championship, so don't miss out!

Panfish Tournaments
Early spring and late fall offer some of the best crappie and bluegill fishing of the year. These are no limit tournaments, so bring your panfish gear and fill the boat with these fat, feisty fish. Entry fees are $30.00 per two-person team which includes boat rental.

Evening Bass Fishing League
Fish our Sharon Woods Lake competitive Bass Fishing League to win a chance at a $500.00 shopping spree from Bass Pro Shops! The one-time fee to enter is $150.00 per team and includes boat rental. Registration and payment are due in advance at Sharon Woods Boathouse, beginning March 8. The league is limited to the first twenty teams and begins on Wednesday, April 30. Prizes and awards are based on league points at the end of 6 weeks of competition and a $25.00 Big Fish gift card is given out nightly.

All Night Catfish Challenge
Miami Whitewater Forest Lake is home to some of the biggest catfish in all of Ohio. Bring your heaviest gear and prepare to battle these magnificent monsters in an all night catfish challenge. There is a limit of three catfish per team at weigh-in. Entry fee is $60.00 per team which includes boat rental. Fee also includes complimentary pre-event buffet!

Carp Crazy at Winton Woods
Winton Woods Lake is full of mean-old carp waiting to stretch your line! If carp are your specialty, don't miss out on your chance to compete against the area's top carp catchers. This is a no-limit showdown to prove who is the Carp King. Entry fees are $30.00 per two-person team which includes boat rental.

Miami Whitewater Forest Lake Championship
There is no disputing that giant catfish lurk at night within Miami Whitewater Forest Lake. What is up for debate is who exactly rules the roost when it comes to snaring these monsters. Anglers are invited to test their skills against one another and the big cats to determine the 2008 Lake Champions. Entry fee is $60.00 per team and includes boat rental and a complimentary pre-event buffet.

Fall Bass Bash
This is the grand finale of the 2008 bass fishing events. The top team will be rewarded with free entries into 2009 Bass Series qualifiers. Entry fee is $60.00 per team and includes boat rental and complimentary post-event buffet!

Turkey Day Open
This unique event allows anglers the opportunity to experience competitive fishing on Miami Whitewater Forest Lake in mid-November. Any and all species of fish will be weighed with no catch limit (except trout and bass). On the line, two delicious turkeys just in time for the holidays! Entry fee is $40.00 per team which includes boat rental.
