Mike UffmanMike Uffman - Mike Uffman has been an employee of the park District since 1993, for the past nine years as a golf professional. In 2008, Mike was promoted to head golf professional at Shawnee Lookout.

Mike gained his PGA membership in 2005, earning the Acushnet Scholarship for performance in the PGA Apprenticeship program.

Mike’s teaching philosophy:
“Golf is a fun, lifelong activity, which is the way it should be taught. We need to first understand the reasons we play golf and what we want to accomplish during the instruction process. In a relaxed environment, students should learn about the golf swing and game as I work with them to make it understandable. Instruction will include time on the practice green and golf course, but more importantly, it will cover the areas where the student feels the most work is needed.”
