Fairy Tale Festival
Step into the enchanting world of your favorite fantastical tales, where magic awaits at this family-friendly event designed especially for children. Meet beloved characters and dress up as your favorite princess, prince, knight or mythical creature. Enjoy live performances by Madcap Puppets, witness thrilling sword fighting demonstrations by the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) and be amazed by Mateo the Wizard. Test your skills at Rapunzel’s Climbing Tower and Merida’s Archery Range!
Tickets must be purchased in advance. Entry times are scheduled every 30 minutes.

Entertainment & Activities
- Madcap Puppets’ Fantastic Fairy Tales - Flick and Flack, the royal jesters, overhear a plot by the wizard Glistor to turn the king into a mouse! As they stall for time with fairy tale fun - like The Wishing Tree, Rapunzel and The Three Little Pigs - they must find a way to foil his sinister scheme.
- Mateo the Wizard - Mateo will dazzle and delight guests with his magical tricks and illusions.
- Midrealm Society for Creative Anachronism’s “Barony of Fenix” pre-17th century sword fighting demonstrations
- Nissa the Gnome - Nissa, a real Danish Gnome, delights all ages with improvised fairy tales based on audience suggestions. Kids can play Gnome Ring Toss (tossing hula hoops over Nissa until they “win”), plus enjoy personalized meet-and-greets and photo ops.
