This gift certificate can be used at all Great Parks locations. If cancelling within 48 hours before check-in, there is no refund given and no gift certificate issued.
Check-In
Earliest check-in is 2 p.m. Check in at Campground Office before entering campground. If office is closed, call 513-851-2267 during office hours to obtain after-hours check-in information. Hours of operation can be found at GreatParks.org.
Check-Out
Latest check-out is noon. Campers must vacate their site by date shown on site tag or notify the Campground Office of any difficulty vacating their site. Failure to comply may result in impoundment of property left on site and additional charges.
Camping Equipment
Camping in vehicles is not allowed; a camping unit/tent must be present at all sites. A camping unit is defined as an RV, fifth-wheel, trailer or pop-up. Campers may have:
- One camping unit, one tent and one dining fly, OR
- Two tents and one dining fly
At your campsite, tents and single-axle pop-ups are permitted on the grass. All other camping units must remain on the gravel pad. Large campers may reduce the amount of space on your gravel pad. Vehicles that don’t fit on the gravel pad must park in the campground parking lot with the Campground Vehicle Tag on the rear-view mirror or a valid Motor Vehicle Permit.
Occupancy
Occupancy is no more than 14 nights. Campers must leave for at least 48 hours before returning to camp. No more than six (6) people may occupy a site. Someone at least 18 years old (21 years old for cabins) must be staying on site to assume responsibility for all campers. No parties allowed in cabins.
Camper Conduct & Bylaws
All Great Parks bylaws and regulations apply to the campground. Profanity, loud/abusive behavior and loud music are prohibited. Conduct endangering the welfare of others or their enjoyment will not be tolerated.
Motor Vehicles
Vehicles parked at the campsite must display a valid Campground Vehicle Pass on the rear-view mirror to serve as your Motor Vehicle Permit. Campers are given two vehicle passes at check-in. Great Parks Bylaw 73.04 states: Parking of any motorized vehicle is restricted to designated areas maintained as parking areas, unless obeying the directions of park personnel or a traffic-control device. Therefore, parking on the grass in the campground is not allowed. Other vehicles must park in the campground parking lot and display a valid Motor Vehicle Permit sticker. Motor Vehicle Permits can be purchased at the Welcome Tech booths, Campground Office and Boathouse.
Quiet Hours
Quiet hours are 11 p.m.-9 a.m. If you/your site can be heard on another site, you are too loud. Generators, flood lights, radios, TVs, etc. are prohibited during quiet hours.
Campfires
Fires are only permitted in fire rings or campers’ grills for cooking. Fires should not exceed three feet in height. Do not move fire rings on your site. Do not cut trees or limbs for firewood. Do not use chain saws. Do not leave fire unattended. Extinguish your fire before checking out. An emergency fire extinguisher is located outside of the shower house. Burning pallets is prohibited.
Firewood Quarantine
Invasive insects spread primarily through movement of firewood. To prevent the spread of these pests, our region is under firewood quarantine. Movement of firewood in or out of the campground is prohibited. Approved firewood is available for purchase at the Campground Office.
Shower House
The shower house is available for campers’ use only. Shower house is not available for non-campers. Parking at the shower house is available during use and is limited to 30 minutes.
Conservation
Cutting or chopping of trees/limbs and vegetation and collecting natural material for firewood is prohibited. Mistreating and feeding wildlife is prohibited. Feeding wildlife can cause dependency on people for food which can lead to a loss of survival instincts, create conflicts and possibly spread disease.
Alcohol Consumption
Alcohol may be consumed on campsites, subject to Ohio laws. Consumption is not permitted in public areas (parking lots, campground road, playground, etc.).
Campground Shelter
Registered campers may use the campground shelter by the playground from 9 a.m.-11 p.m. while actively camping. Shelter is not open to the public and is not reservable. Alcohol and parking are prohibited at the shelter. Quiet hours must be followed.
Clean Site/Trash/Recycling
Campers must maintain a clean campsite. Campers must place all trash and recyclables in the appropriate dumpsters at check-out. Do not burn trash in your campfire ring. Vacated sites requiring cleanup by staff may incur extra fees.
The clear plastic bag is for recycling purposes. Please recycle: paper, plastic bottles, jugs and jars; glass bottles and jars; aluminum, steel and tin cans. Do not recycle plastic shopping bags, disposable cups (no Styrofoam), paper plates, and food containers.
Dispose of your recycling bag in the green dumpster in the campground.
Low Speed Vehicles (Ex: Golf Carts)
Low speed vehicle (LSV) use is allowed for drivers at least 16 years old with a valid driver’s license. A maximum of one LSV is permitted per campsite. LSVs are permitted on campground roads only; not on any other park road. LSVs are for daytime use only unless equipped with headlights and taillights. LSVs must obey the 5 mph speed limit, road signs, traffic laws and must travel in the same direction as vehicle traffic. Failure to follow these rules may result in Ranger impoundment and a ticket.
Dump Station
Campers must stay with their camper at all times until servicing is complete, and they must remove their camper from the dump station area immediately afterwards. Use the hose to flush down the concrete apron after use. An additional fee is required for use by non-campers.
Pets
Pets are permitted at your campsite but must be kept on a leash (six feet max.) and under control at all times. Barking or aggressive dogs will not be tolerated. Pet owners must clean their campsite upon check-out. Pets are not permitted when staying in cabins.
Fishing
Bank fishing is permitted by registered campers in the designated area of the campground. If you are camping on a lakeside site, you can fish from your site. Do not bank fish on someone else’s campsite. A valid Ohio fishing license is required.
