Great Parks Rangers Host Bike Rodeo at Miami Whitewater Forest
Great Parks Rangers will offer bike safety tips to children as the annual Great Parks Bike Rodeo comes to Miami Whitewater Forest Harbor from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 7.
Children will learn about the rules of the road through an exciting obstacle course in the harbor parking lot. Guests can also join fun bike activities, visit education stations and participate in contests at the event.
Free helmets will be available while supplies last, courtesy of the Ohio Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Children must bring their own bicycles, and the event is designed for children ages 4-12.
Great Parks Rangers are the law enforcement officers who provide year-round, 24-hour patrol service in the parks. More than 35 Great Parks Rangers enforce state laws and park bylaws, and work toward the protection and conservation of park lands and wildlife.
Great Parks thanks the Roehr Insurance Agency for sponsoring this event.
(Note: Valid Motor Vehicle Permits are required for every vehicle entering Miami Whitewater Forest. Information about purchasing MVPs, and accessing free or discounted MVPs, is available at greatparks.org.)
