Great Parks to Welcome Thousands of Guests at Kids Outdoor Adventure Expo
All the fun from throughout Great Parks will be packed into Winton Woods Harbor for the free, annual two-day Kids Outdoor Adventure Expo, which will welcome thousands of children and people of all ages on June 12-13. The Expo is a summertime tradition that brings guests from throughout the region to try out new outdoor adventures, inspiring them to spend more of their days with Great Parks.
Great Parks offers year-round outdoor experiences in 23 parks and conservation areas across more than 18,000 acres. The Kids Outdoor Adventure Expo brings many of those activities together in one place, so guests can explore all that Great Parks has to offer. Reel in a fish. Take a boat out onto Winton Lake. Try your swing with golf. Take aim at archery. Dribble around with a basketball. Rise higher with rock climbing.
Great Parks will also offer ziplining high above the harbor. FC Cincinnati will be kicking around in a special soccer zone. Great Parks interpreters will have special nature-based, hands-on educational stations, and animals will visit from the Winton Woods Farm & Equestrian Center. Food and drink will be available for purchase.
Great Parks is also bringing back its running and walking events on Saturday morning. The Outdoor Adventure Expo 5k and 10k start at 8 a.m. and will wind through Winton Woods on scenic paved trails. The Kids Adventure Dash runs later in the morning at 9:30 a.m. Advance registration is at GreatParks.org and walk-up registration is also available.

The Kids Outdoor Adventure Expo runs from 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. on Friday, June 12, and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, June 13. Great Parks traditionally stages the Expo each July but moved it to June this year to accommodate The Great Picnic on July 18 at Miami Whitewater Forest. The Great Picnic, presented by America 250-Ohio, will be a celebration of America’s 250th anniversary.
