Reservations
To reserve a pull-through, back-in or tent site, guests must be at least 18 years old with a valid ID. To reserve a cabin, guests must be at least 21 years old with a valid ID. The reserving guest assumes responsibility for their group and campsite. The reserving guest must be present at the campground for the duration of the reservation.
Campground reservations are tied to guests’ Great Parks household accounts and are strictly non-transferrable. Campground reservations may not be resold to any third party. Each household is limited to two campsites or cabins per reservation. Large groups booking more than two sites must designate a secondary authorized check-in person (age 18+) for each reserved site. Groups wanting to reserve five or more sites must contact the Campground Manager.
Refunds & Cancellations
Camping is an outdoor experience; discounts or refunds will not be issued due to inclement weather. Refunds will not be issued for late check-in after the Campground Office closes. Reservations are refundable if canceled more than 30 days in advance of check-in. For cancellations of less than 30 days, but more than 48 hours before check-in, a $5 cancellation fee per campsite is charged, and the remaining balance is loaded onto a Great Parks e-gift certificate. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before check-in are strictly non-refundable.
Check-In
Earliest check-in is at 2 p.m. Campers must check-in at the Campground Office before proceeding to the campground. Guests arriving after hours should call the Campground Office at (513) 851-2267 before the office closes. After-hours check-in is not permitted for cabin reservations. Campground staff will make every attempt to contact guests who are not checked in before the office closes. Visit GreatParks.org/camping to view hours of operation.
Check-Out
Latest check-out is at noon. Guests must leave their campsite on the date noted on their site tag and vehicle passes. Failure to check out on time may result in the impoundment of property and/or additional fees. Guests wishing to extend their stay must do so through the Campground Office before their reservation ends. Guests should notify the Campground Office immediately about any difficulty vacating their campsite.
Occupancy & Visitors
Guests may not occupy the campground for more than 14 consecutive nights. After 14 consecutive nights, guests must leave the campground for 48 hours before making another reservation.
No more than six (6) guests may occupy a campsite overnight. Additional visitors are permitted during daily visiting hours, 9 a.m.-11 p.m. The reserving guest is responsible for their visitors’ actions and ensuring their visitors comply with all campground policies. Visitor vehicles must have a valid Great Parks vehicle pass, which can be purchased from the Campground Office.
Camping Equipment
A camping unit is any recreational (RV), trailer or tent that is purpose-built for camping. In addition to a camping unit, guests are permitted one tent and one dining fly on their site. Guests who are tent camping are permitted two tents and one dining fly per campsite. All vehicles, trailers and RVs must remain on the gravel/concrete parking pad. Tents and single-axle pop-up trailers are permitted to be on the grass. Large campers will result in reduced capacity for vehicle parking at the campsite. Camping in personal vehicles is strictly prohibited, with exceptions for vehicles with hatchbacks or roof tents. The Campground Office reserves the right to deny or cancel a reservation if camping equipment is deemed ineligible.
Motor Vehicles & Parking
Vehicles parked at the campsite must display a valid Campground Vehicle Pass hanging from the rearview mirror. While camping, this pass serves as your Great Parks Motor Vehicle Permit and grants entry to other Great Parks destinations. Parking on the grass, on the road or in communal service areas is prohibited, per Great Parks’ bylaws. Additional vehicles that cannot fit on the campsite concrete/gravel pad must park in the campground parking lot with a valid pass or permit displayed, which can be purchased at the welcome booth, Campground Office or boathouse. On-site parking availability is not guaranteed for oversized vehicles (semis, box trucks, tour buses, etc.) that cannot fit within a campsite or parking space.
Pets
Pets must always remain on a leash and under control. Excessive barking or aggressive animals will not be tolerated. Pets are not permitted in reserved cabins.
Quiet Hours
Quiet hours are 11 p.m.-9 a.m. If you or your group can be heard on an adjacent campsite, then your group is too loud. Generators, flood lights and outdoor TVs or radios are prohibited during quiet hours.
Conduct & Bylaws
All Great Parks’ bylaws and regulations apply to reserved areas. Great Parks Rangers may terminate occupancy or remove individuals from the area with no refund or credit at their sole discretion. Conduct that could endanger the welfare of others or infringe on other’s enjoyment will not be tolerated, including profanity, loud/abusive behavior and amplified music.
Alcohol
Alcohol may be consumed on campsites, subject to Ohio laws. Consumption is not permitted in public areas (parking lots, campground road, playground, etc.).
Conservation
The mistreatment or feeding of wildlife is prohibited. Regular feeding can cause dependency on people for food, loss of survival instincts, animal/people conflicts and the spreading of diseases. Please help keep our parks beautiful. Do not litter.
Campfires & Firewood
Cutting or chopping of trees, limbs and vegetation and collection of natural materials for firewood is strictly prohibited. Fires are permitted only in fire rings or campers’ grills for cooking. Fires should not exceed three feet in height. Do not move fire rings on your site. Do not use chain saws. Do not leave fire unattended. Extinguish your fire before checking out. An emergency fire extinguisher is located outside of the shower house. Burning pallets or trash is prohibited.
Our region is under a firewood quarantine to help prevent the spread of invasive insects that threaten our forests. Movement of firewood in or out of the campground is prohibited. The Campground Office offers approved firewood for sale.
Low-Speed Vehicles (ex. Golf Carts)
Low speed vehicle (LSV) use is allowed. A maximum of one LSV is permitted per campsite. Drivers must be at least 16 years old with a valid driver’s license. LSVs are limited to the campground road. No LSV is permitted to travel on any other park road. LSVs are for daytime use only unless equipped with headlights and taillights. LSVs must obey all road signs and traffic laws, adhere to the 5mph speed limit and travel in the same direction as vehicle traffic. Failure to follow these rules may result in Ranger impoundment and a ticket.
Shower House
The shower house is open daily and is for the exclusive use of campground guests. Visitors and other non-campers are prohibited from using the shower house. Parking at the shower house is limited to 30 minutes. Visitors cannot park at the shower house.
Dump Station & Trash
A dump station is provided free-of-charge for reserving guests. Guests must remain with their RV or trailer at all times and promptly leave the dump station when finished. Use the provided hose to spray down the concrete apron after use. Commercial sewage trucks are not permitted to use the dump station.
Campers must maintain a clean campsite and dispose of all trash from their campsite at check-out. Trash, recycling and food compost bins are provided near the campground exit. Recycling and food compost bags may be picked up from the Campground Office by request. The reserving guest may be charged additional fees for campsites requiring the cleanup of trash or debris by Great Parks staff.
Severe Weather & Safety
Camping is an all-weather activity. Great Parks highly recommends that outdoor activities cease and everyone seek shelter when severe weather is present. Great Parks is not responsible for inclement weather. Remember: when thunder roars, go indoors.
Fireworks, firearms and all other weapons are prohibited. Participation in group gathering events or activities may result in injury or contracting illnesses including communicable diseases such as influenza, MRSA, Coronavirus etc. Reserving a rental space at any location within Great Parks of Hamilton County is at your own risk.
