Hog Log Hiking Series
Log some miles, pig-style! Join us for our Hog Log Hiking Series, a set of ten unique hikes designed to engage young explorers in the wonders of nature. Presented in collaboration with the Flying Pig Marathon's 26th Mile, these one-mile adventures combine fun, learning, and the great outdoors. Participants will log their miles leading up to the final stretch of the marathon’s route on race day.

Hog Log Hiking Series: Hikin’ For Lichen

Got a likin’ for lichen? Let’s go hikin’! Lichens can range from our backyards to volcanic cliffsides, and they can even survive in outer space! Let’s observe their diversity and experience their complex lifestyles on this one-mile hike.
Hog Log Hiking Series: Riverside Walk

Oh my oh, it’s the Ohio! Walk along a sliver of the river and be immersed in a river-side forest. Investigate the historic dam structures at Fernbank Park on this one-mile hike.

Hog Log Hiking Series: Hog Log Bog Slog

Take a romp in the swamp as you thwomp the competition! Exercise in mucky style for another mile by exploring the water of a wetland. We will be getting inside the water, getting muddy, and having fun, so please bring closed-toed shoes and dress appropriately! We recommend guests bring an extra pair of shoes as well.
A valid motor vehicle permit is required to enter all Great Parks.
