Fish Fillet Demonstration

What to know

Learn how different types of fish are filleted with an up-close view! Drop in at select times (12:30, 1, 1:30 & 2 p.m.) to watch a demonstration in action, or catch your own fish from the lake and bring it to the fillet station to see how it’s cut, cleaned and cooked. Anglers must purchase a Lake Isabella fishing ticket from the boathouse.

Honeysuckle Removal

What to know

Protect nature, care for the outdoors and explore Great Parks at our community volunteer project. Remove honeysuckle in one of our high-quality natural areas to maintain biodiversity and allow our native species to grow and thrive. Use hand tools, such as loppers, pruners and hand saws, to cut down the honeysuckle. Employees or trained volunteers will follow close behind to spray the stumps with herbicide to effectively kill the plants.
