Skimming the Shores

What to know

Float along banks and through marshes during this kayak adventure around the newly improved lake! Paddlers of all skill levels stay in shallow waters, hearing stories that deepen their wetland knowledge. Participants must properly fit into the provided life jackets and not exceed the 275-lb. weight limit. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Beginning Golf II

What to know

After learning the five shots and fundamental skills needed in Beginning Golf I, Beginning Golf II prepares the student to play be demonstrating when to apply the learned skills on the golf course. We will build on full swing and short game fundamentals and develop on-course skills through practice simulations. Skill assessments will be conducted to evaluate strengths and weaknesses of your game and determine a focus for your individual practice sessions.

What to know

Protect nature, care for the outdoors and explore Great Parks at our community volunteer project! Remove honeysuckle to improve a high value natural area. This area will be a focus site over the next few months to open the canopy and allow sunlight and native plants to return and flourish. Our natural resource management plan goal is to remove 10 acres of honeysuckle a year, and with your help we can reach this goal!
