Spring Interpretive Trail Ride

What to know

New and experienced riders are welcome on this trail ride with Great Parks’ Education staff! Riders are assigned a horse and receive a basic tutorial before embarking on an hour-long ride through the Farm & Equestrian Center. Guided by a nature interpreter, participants learn about local wildlife, horses, farm life and upcoming programs.

What to know

A fun way to learn the wonderful game of golf! You will become familiar with the fundamentals of the five shots encountered on the golf course, including wood shots, iron shots, chipping, pitching and putting. Classes will cover fundamentals, rules and etiquette. Classes run five consecutive weeks.

What to know

After learning the five shots and fundamental skills needed in Beginning Golf I, Beginning Golf II prepares the student to play be demonstrating when to apply the learned skills on the golf course. We will build on full swing and short game fundamentals and develop on-course skills through practice simulations. Skill assessments will be conducted to evaluate strengths and weaknesses of your game and determine a focus for your individual practice sessions.
