What to know

Protect nature, care for the outdoors and explore Great Parks at our community volunteer project! Collect and sow wildflower seeds in a prairie! These seeds will fill in bare areas and create a more colorful and ecologically beneficial habitat. Guidance on identification and collection will be provided, so no prior knowledge is required. Registration closes on Tuesday, October 13.

Step into the wild with this hands-on series, designed to help participants build confidence, self-reliance and skills for the great outdoors. Learn what it takes to thrive (not just survive!) off the land through topics like resource identification, knife skills, fire building and tool crafting. Each program builds upon the last, blending traditional learning with outdoor adventure in an experience for all skill levels. All gear is provided. Registration for the full series is required.

Mushroom Log Workshop
