Fernbank Shared-Use Trail

Offers views of the Ohio River, with frequent sightings of barges and other river traffic. Visitors can see remnants of Lock & Dam 37, including foundations of the dam keeper’s home, workers’ residences and a garage. The Riverview Shelter, designed in the 1940s by architect Carl Freund, features a horizontal design and flat cantilevered roof influenced by Frank Lloyd Wright.
