Sharon Lake Loop Trail

Contractors will start securing Sharon Woods Harbor for construction of the new harbor. Highbanks Drive and a portion of the Sharon Lake Trail will be closed starting October 13 until Spring 2028. Barriers will be installed 10/13 along Highbanks Road to close vehicular access from Kemper to the Highbanks parking lot. Fencing will be installed 10/14-10/15 to enclose the site and close a portion of the Sharon Lake Trail (~0.3 miles) from the Kemper bridge tunnel to Kreis Dam. Completion of the project is subject to change and updates will be provided on the Sharon Woods Revitalization project page.

The Snack Bar at Sharon Woods Harbor will be closed during the Harbor Revitalization project. 

Beginning Thursday, May 28, boat rentals (single kayaks, tandem kayaks, canoes and pedalboats) are available at a temporary boathouse at Lakeside Lodge, 4661 Kemper Road. This temporary location is open seasonally for the duration of the project.
