What to know
Great Parks' bow hunting program benefits the health of deer populations by reducing their competition for food and their risk of transmitting diseases, such as chronic wasting disease. The 2026 Controlled Bow Hunting Program Qualification is planned for Aug. 8 at Winton Woods (start/end times may vary by participant). Registration for this qualification is considered an application for the 2026 Controlled Bow Hunting Program.
This program is open to bow hunters ages 12+, but hunters under 21 must have an adult sponsor. After registering, applicants receive an email with information about next steps. Register by Monday, July 13.
