Get moving, explore and make a splash in the great outdoors! Join Great Parks for the largest free outdoor environmental education event for children in the Midwest. This unique opportunity will encourage kids’ interest in the natural world and recreational activities. Come out and discover more than 30 exhibitors and interactive activities.

      Bring your group and spend the day at Winton Woods Harbor discovering the outdoors with more than 30 exhibitors and interactive activities at four themed stations.

      Complete and return the “Group Registration Form” to reserve your spot and be kept up to date on event news, schedule of events, maps and more. Applications are due by May 24, 2019.

      A limited number of buses are available to help transport groups that are facing financial hardship and would otherwise be unable to attend Kids Outdoor Adventure Expo. To apply for busing assistance, complete the “Transportation Application” and submit it along with the “Group Registration Form” by April 26, 2019.

    • Exhibitors

      Kids Outdoor Adventure Expo brings together area organizations for the largest outdoor youth environmental education program in the region. In 2018, nearly 4,000 people joined us for a full-day event of entertainment, exhibits and presenters. 

      Exhibits are organized into four different outdoor adventure-inspired themes: Let’s Move, Let’s Explore, Let’s Splash and Let’s Be Green. 

      Want to join us? Complete and return the “Exhibitor Application” below. The cost is $35 if you register by May 1 and includes a 10’ x 10’ covered booth space, table and two chairs. Cost is $50 when registering after May 1.

      Discover the outdoors with more than 30 exhibitors and interactive activities available at four themed stations:

      Let’s Move
      Get up and get your body moving! Many activity areas will teach kids about exercise, nutrition and health. Take a turn on Great Parks’ climbing wall, bounce house and inflatables. 

      Let’s Explore
      Get outside and discover! Get up close and personal with nature and wildlife. Take a journey and discover what you can find in your backyard and on a farm.

      Let’s Splash
      Fish, paddle and make waves on Winton Woods Lake! Paddle a raft, ride on the Winton Queen or try your luck at hooking a fish. Be prepared to get wet!

      Let’s Be Green
      Get dirty and see how you can make a difference. Discover how you can become a better steward for the environment and learn life skills that emphasize the three Rs: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.

      All scheduled activities are on a first-come, first-served basis and may have limited capacity. If you would like to participate in a specific program please arrive early. Most programs will repeat throughout the day.

      Participants should dress according to the weather and wear sneakers or footwear appropriate for a fair amount of walking and participating in exercise activities. Kids Outdoor Adventure Expo also includes some events on the water, so be prepared to get wet.
