Winton Woods Harbor

The last day of boat rentals and bait sales at Winton Woods Harbor will be July 28. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will lower water levels at Winton Lake from August to November 2025 for essential dam maintenance, temporarily impacting boating access. As a result, the Winton Woods Boathouse has been moved to accommodate water levels and will remain closed through spring 2026.

This part of the park is always buzzing with park guests. Whether they are at the playground with their kids, heading out on the lake trail or enjoying a picnic with family, there is always something to do at Winton Woods Harbor.

  • Boathouse Hours

    The 175-acre Winton Lake has a boathouse that offers rowboat, pedal boat, motorboat and pontoon boat, canoe, kayak, stand-up paddleboard, and bike rentals. The boathouse also offers a selection of fishing gear, bait, and snacks.

    Peak rate pricing is in effect during weekends and holidays.

    Prices do not include tax. Armed Forces Members can rent a 1-hour rowboat and stay out as long as they like, weekdays only.

  • Snack Bar Hours

    Take a break at our snack bar that offers a variety of treats! The snack bar offers treats from cheeseburgers and coneys to beer, slushies and other frozen delights!

  • Playgrounds

    The harbor features a traditional playground as well Parky’s Ark wet playground (for children ages 2-12). 

    The admission fee for the wet playground is $6.75/child.

  • Canoe/Kayak Launch

    Licensed private kayak, canoes and stand-up paddleboards are permitted on Winton Lake. The launch ramp is located near the harbor on Winton Lake east of the wet playground.

    The launch was funded through grants from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources NatureWorks Program, the Hatton Foundation and the REI Co-op.

    Note:  The Winton Woods Harbor Accessible Canoe/Kayak Launch will be closed to follow ACA temperature guidelines from December through March.

  • Fishing

    The 175-acre Winton Lake has a boathouse that offers row, pedal, motor and pontoon boats; kayaks; and canoes for rent. Electric and gas motors up to six horsepower are permitted to use with rental boats or private canoes and kayaks. Bank fishing is also available. An Ohio State Fishing License is required.
