The Vineyard Golf Course of Great Parks of Hamilton County has beautiful, tree-lined, bent grass fairways and greens, and has won many accolades for conditions, playability and customer service.

The Vineyard Golf Course consistently ranks as one of golfers’ favorite courses in southern Ohio.

Top amateurs, weekend warriors and travelers from out of town agree that The Vineyard Golf Course is one of the best conditioned daily fee courses in Cincinnati, as well as one of the most challenging. The facility has received awards from Golf Digest, Golf World, National Golf Foundation, Golf for Women Magazine and City Beat magazine. Over the years, The Vineyard Golf Course has earned a reputation of having well-manicured playing conditions and excellent customer service. The Vineyard is available for individual play, leagues, tournaments and outings.

Golf Course Guidelines for play

Tee times can be made up to 10 days in advance either online at greatparks.org or by calling the golf course. Groups of less than four may be paired together.

Players must check in within 10-15 minutes prior to their starting time or risk forfeiting that time. 

Play is for 9 or 18 holes, riding or walking. Two riders per cart; single rider requests may incur an additional charge during select times. Push carts are available.

Alcohol must be purchased from the facility. Carry-on alcoholic beverages are not permitted. Coolers are permitted for non-alcoholic beverages.

  • About the Course

    The Vineyard Golf Course is a par 71 and measures 4,747 yards from the forward set of tees and stretches out to 6,789 yards from the championship tees. The rating and slope from the championship tees is 72.9 and 137, making The Vineyard an enjoyable experience for golfers of all ages and abilities. We have a family set of tees that measures 2,478 yards, which is excellent for beginners and juniors. We offer 10 minute tee time intervals and maintain a pace of play of four hours, 30 minutes for 18 holes.

    Note: All course fees are per person. Senior rates apply to those 60 and older and are available Monday-Thursday (excluding holidays, league play, outings and tournaments.) Junior rates (17 and younger) are available Monday-Thursday and during select times on weekends.

  • Golf Professionals

    Sam Arnold has been working at The Vineyard golf course since 1998 and is the General Manager. Sam is a graduate of Milford High School, where he was Captain of the Division I State Golf Championship team in 1989. He attended Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, where he was a member of the golf team and received his degree in Psychology. Sam has qualified for and played in three PGA Championship tournaments (2006, 2008 and 2009.)

    Sam’s love of the game is reflected not only in his dedication to personal improvement, but also in his desire to help others succeed. He is an accomplished teacher who enjoys seeing the progress that students of all skill levels have been able to achieve. Some of his former students are even competing professionally!

    Sam is committed to growing the game of golf in Cincinnati and to making your experience at the Vineyard one that you won’t soon forget. So if you are interested in beginning a new hobby or want to take your game to the next level, then schedule a lesson today with Sam.

    Chris Lane is the Club House Manager / Head Golf Professional at The Vineyard golf course. Chris was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, and moved to Cincinnati in the year 2000. Since then, he has had the pleasure of working in the private sector as well as the public sector of the golf business. Chris earned his class A membership to the PGA of America in 2004. He has 20 years of experience in the golf industry and 10 years in financial investments services. Chris is an accomplished player and teacher of the game. Although he doesn’t compete as much these days, he still enjoys being out on the golf course playing with family and friends. Chris came to our team from Golf Tech. Chris's teaching philosophy is to help people play better golf and have more fun. He has worked with players of all skill levels and ages to accomplish their specific goals.

  • Leagues

    The 7-hole Educational League is designed for new golfers who want to learn about the game in a non-intimidating environment. On-course instruction by PGA Professionals will include the basic rules of the game, proper course etiquette, tips on how to improve your game and much more. After completing this four-week league, you will be more comfortable and confident on the golf course.

    All six Great Parks courses offer lessons given by PGA Professionals - a must for anyone desiring to learn the game of golf! Students will learn the fundamentals of golf, including swing techniques for a variety of shots, course management, rules and etiquette.

    Private Lessons

    Private lessons for the beginner offer a personalized way of learning the proper fundamentals of the swing, techniques for various shots, and information on how to play the game. For the more experienced player, our PGA professionals will analyze your swing, focusing on problem areas and demonstrating techniques to improve all aspects of your game. Playing lessons are conducted on the golf course, focusing on course management, rules etiquette, care of the course, club selection, and shot selection.

    Semi-private rates are available for groups of two or more.


    Indoor Lessons

    Is it too hot or rainy outside for a lesson? Take a lesson indoors, which includes a video analysis of your swing. After the lesson, the instructor emails the video with notes on improving your fundamentals.

  • Outings

    The Vineyard Golf Course is the ideal facility to host your next golf outing. This beautiful 18-hole golf course includes Sweetwine Banquet Center with indoor seating for up to 150 guests. Outing packages include greens fees and cart fees, prize credit, hole contest setup, handicap and scoring calculation and any other assistance we may provide to ensure your day is an enjoyable one.

    Kids Play Free
    During select times Saturdays and Sundays kids under the age of 18 play for free when accompanied by a paying parent, grandparent or legal guardian. Limit one child per paying parent.

  • Tournaments

    The Vineyard tournaments offer something for everyone. Men, ladies, juniors and seniors have fun competing in the Two Person Scramble, held in both the spring and the fall, and in the Four Person Scramble, held in the fall. The July Parent/Child features three holes scramble, Best Ball and Select Drive Alternate Shot. The showcase event is the two-day Vineyard Classic. In its 28th year, the Classic offers a Saturday grill-out, as well as Long Drive and Closest to the Pin each day.

  • Thursday Morning Ladies

    Thursday Morning Ladies League members can save time at the Pro Shop and pre-pay for their league round. Only league members may pre-pay. For more information or for league registration, please contact Sam Arnold at sarnold@greatparks.org.
