Little Miami Scenic Trail
Part of the Regional Trail System
Great Parks manages parts of the 78-mile trail corridor along the Little Miami Scenic River, a designated National Wild and Scenic River, to serve both community and conservation goals. As part of the regional trail system, this corridor connects neighborhoods, communities and parks, enhancing access to recreation and transportation alternatives. In addition to recreational and transportation benefits, management of the corridor ensures the protection and stewardship of land along the Little Miami State Scenic River. This scenic river designation highlights the ecological and cultural importance of the waterway. Great Parks’ role includes conserving riparian habitats, protecting water quality and maintaining natural areas that provide habitat for native plants and wildlife. Balancing recreation with conservation safeguards the river’s natural character for future generations, while allowing the public to enjoy and appreciate one of the region’s most significant natural assets.
