Project Benefits

Woodland Mound Disc Golf Course:

Renovations were complete in 2022 and included realigned holes and new landscaping, tee pads, baskets and signage to allow for better play for both new and veteran players. The full course re-opened to the public September 16, 2022.

Winton Woods Disc Golf Course:

The course was realigned to enhance playability and flow, and features all-new tee pads, baskets and signage. Each hole includes two baskets, offering flexible play options for both beginner and veteran disc golfers.  The fully updated course reopened to the public Spring 2025, providing an upgraded experience just in time for peak disc golf season. In addition, native plantings will be installed to support the park’s ecological health and add to the natural beauty of the course.

Miami Whitewater Forest Disc Golf Course:

The Miami Whitewater Forest Disc Golf Course, originally a nine-hole course, was professionally redesigned and expanded into a full 18-hole layout, offering a more dynamic and challenging experience for players of all skill levels. Each hole will feature two baskets to provide flexible play options for both beginners and seasoned disc golfers.

The upgraded course will also include new tee pads, updated signage, practice baskets and a welcoming informational kiosk to enhance the overall visitor experience. Following construction, native plantings will be thoughtfully integrated throughout the course, promoting sustainability and natural beauty within the park’s landscape.

Embshoff Woods Disc Golf Course

The Embshoff Woods Disc Golf Course is currently in the planning stages starting with course design. At the same time, the designated course footprint is undergoing an environmental review to ensure responsible development within the natural landscape. The results of the review and final design will determine when construction begins.
